Arthur David White

Arthur David White, of La Ward, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the age of 96. He was born Dec. 20, 1916, in Dunbar, Matagorda County, to the late John Charles and Anna Estella Dannels White.
Arthur was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of La Ward as well as the Civil Conservation Corps. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great and great-great-grandfather and will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Anna Viola Prukop and her husband Wayne of Edna; sons, Larry David White and his wife Dean of Yorktown and Donald Ray White and his wife Tina of La Ward; grandchildren, Rhonda R. Endres, Laura L. Ebarb, Michelle M. Mudd, Wess W. Prukop, Larry D. White Jr., Denise Webb, Donald R. White Jr., Bruce L. White, Nick Krasnytska, Natalie Holt and Wendy Davis; 31great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Arthur is preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Beulah Belle White; wife of 65 years, Ruby Gladys Revel White; sisters, Viola Belle White, Wanda Marie Rickaway, Tracy Lee Barrett; brothers, Harvey Percy White, Charles Winfield White, John Charles White Jr.; granddaughter, Lisa D. Young and a great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, March 15 at Oaklawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. at the United Pentecostal Church in La Ward. Reverend Kendall Graves and Reverend Mike Williams will be officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery of Edna.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
