Byrne - Hensley say vows

Laura Beth Byrne of Ganado and Clint Russell Hensley of Edna were married at 2:30 p.m. on June 30, 2012 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Ganado. Rev. Michael Lyons of Ganado officiated the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Andrew and Dorothy Byrne of Ganado. She is the granddaughter of Elsie Vanek of Ganado and the late William Vanek and the late D.J. and Mildred Byrne.
The groom is the son of Anthony “Red” and Marilynn Hensley of Ganado. He is the grandson of Geri Avery of Columbus and the late M.G. Avery and the late Carl Hensley and Lydia Hensley Sparck of Ganado.
Jessica Rosalez of Ganado attended as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christina Carrasco of Ganado, 2nd Lt. Danielle Kuehn, U.S. Army, of San Antonio, Sherri Hensley of Port Angeles, Wash., sister-in-law of the groom, and Melanie Reeves of Ganado. Tiana Hensley, of Port Angeles, Wash., niece of the groom, and Erin Wharton, of Calallen, attended as flower girls.
Bret Hensley of Port Angeles, Wash, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were John Adamson of Benbrook, Lt. Luke Kuehn, U.S. Navy, of Norfolk, Va., Zeke Kuehn and Isaac Kuehn, both of Ganado. Tyler and Tyson Hensley of Port Angeles, Wash,, twin nephews of the groom, attended as ring bearers.
Ushers were Blake Petrash of Ganado, Brian Holub of Ganado, cousin of the groom, Trice Hermes of Inez, cousin of the bride, and Casey Kile of Bay City. Acolytes were Logan Petrash and Cody Morales, both of Ganado, and Neil Wiegand of Edna.
A reception was held following the ceremony at St. Andrew Parish Hall in Hillje. The couple spent their honeymoon traveling the Hill Country of Texas visiting San Antonio, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Llano, Johnson City, New Braunfels, and San Marcos. They will make their home in northwestern Jackson County near Morales.
The bride is a 1997 honor graduate of Ganado High School and a 2001 graduate of the University of Houston-Victoria with a Bachelor of Science degree in communications. She is employed by HEB in Edna in the bakery department and by Victoria RadioWorks in Victoria as a radio sports producer for high school football game broadcasts of the Victoria East Titans, the Victoria West Warriors, the Cuero Gobblers and the Calhoun Sandcrabs.
The groom is a 2001 honor graduate of Ganado High School and received an Associate of Applied Science degree in Safety Compliance from TSTC in Palacios in 2003 and an Association of Applied Science Degree in Instrumentation from the Victoria College in 2006. He is employed by Testengeer Inc. at Formosa Plastics in Point Comfort as an environmental technician. He is also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
