Road closed due to well blow out

CR 530 from Hwy. 59 to CR 1300 in Jackson County remained closed at 5:45 p.m. Friday evening after a gas well blow out was reported on CR 530 around 3 p.m. Friday. Fire departments from Edna, El Campo and Ganado responded to the report. The well is operated by Rodessa Operating. Sheriff Andy Louderback said the road will remain closed until well control services is able to contain the gas. Local traffic will still be allowed to travel CR 530 but it is closed for through traffic.
